Daylight saving for Qld is a definite "NO". It causes more problems than it solves.
Toured Vic during daylight saving, penguin meant we were waiting an extra hour for viewing and extremely late. Even my Qld granddaughter [11] says 'Its awful'. Qld weather in pm is not inducive to outdoor activity in summer heat.
If businesses want to change, they could organise for their employees to commence work an hour earlier. For the North of Qld pls note that the closer we get to the equator, the closer we are to an equinox. Daylight saving, will cause greater energy consumption, for lights would be needed for the earlier commencement time, to say nothing for the farmers and mothers trying to get children to bed an hour earlier in the heat of the evening. There are more arguments against than for.

Yes I feel we should have daylight saving, particularly in SEQ, in fact I would go one step further and say majority should rule - if more states want daylight savings then we should have it, no question, no referendum.

DST for SE Qld is a good idea to bring us inline with Northern NSW. It also gives you that extra hour of daylight in the afternoon to get things done. Why people can't understand that you don't actually get an extra hour of daylight is beyond me. Maybe it's because they don't get up early enough to realise that it is already light. Personally I enjoyed it the last time we had it in.

No,No, and No to daylight saving.
I don't need it, I won't make any more money from doing it, I will end up spending more time in the sun, and it will upset my evening glass of wine when it cools down enough and one can relax without sweating in the heat. In fact daylight saving won't do a single thing to improve my lot. But if you really want to consider it, then lets split up Queensland from Rockhampton North.

It is very hot up here. We do not want more sunlight after working hours. We already hang out for the cooler evening and the glass of wine. To have to wait for the cool even longer would be too much.
